Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information StormWatts (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit stormwatts.com. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

• No accounts or forms. The site has no user accounts, comments, or signup forms. The Power Outage Prep Checklist is a direct download and doesn’t ask for your email.
• The calculator runs in your browser. Numbers you enter in the runtime calculator are processed on your device and aren’t sent to us.
• Hosting and security logs. The site is a static website served by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Analytics. We don’t currently run analytics scripts. If we add them, we plan to use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which can measure aggregate traffic without cookies, and we’ll update this page.

Cookies

StormWatts itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. When you follow a /go/ link, you land on a brand’s website, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. If a /go/ link later becomes an affiliate link, the brand or its affiliate network may use a cookie to credit us for a purchase.

How we use information

We use the limited information above only to operate and secure the website. We don’t sell personal information.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser and browse without following /go/ links. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights over personal information a site holds about you. Because we don’t collect personal information beyond the host’s standard logs, there’s usually nothing for us to retrieve.

Children

StormWatts is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the date at the top.
